How the calculation works
Cost per serving = price ÷ servings; days of supply = servings ÷ daily use
A worked example
A $24 bottle with 60 servings costs $0.40 per serving. At two servings per day it lasts 30 days and costs $24 per 30 days.
Capsules are not always servings
If a bottle contains 120 capsules and the label defines a serving as two capsules, enter 60 servings. At one such serving per day, the bottle lasts 60 days. Entering 120 would halve the reported cost incorrectly.
Common questions
How do I calculate supplement cost per month?
Divide the package price by its servings, then multiply by daily servings and 30. This tool uses a fixed 30-day month to make comparisons consistent.
Does a lower cost per serving mean better value?
Only if the serving amounts and ingredients are comparable. For protein, use the protein cost calculator; for fish oil, compare EPA plus DHA.
Method: arithmetic from the label values you enter. Reviewed .
