Terms of Use
Last updated · August 29, 2026
These terms govern your use of the SupplementPrices website and everything published on it (the “Service”). By opening or using the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Provider
The Service is provided by Dr. Jan Philip Wahle and Lars Kaesberg, Siedlungsweg 24, 37124 Rosdorf, Germany. Contact: [email protected]. Full provider identification is in the Imprint.
2. What the Service is
SupplementPrices is a free, advertising-financed price-comparison site. It retrieves supplement listings from the Amazon Product Advertising API and from public product pages, parses package sizes, doses and serving counts out of them, and ranks the listings by a computed unit price — price per gram of active ingredient, per milligram, per 1,000 IU, per billion CFU, or per serving, depending on the category. How that is done is described in the methodology.
The Service is informational. It is a reading of publicly available listing data, produced automatically, and offered on a best-effort basis. You are not required to register, and no account, contract or ongoing obligation arises between you and us from browsing the site.
3. No warranty for prices, doses or rankings
Prices change constantly and what Amazon shows at checkout is what applies. Figures on this site are snapshots from the last synchronisation, not offers, not quotes, and not a guarantee that a product is available at that price, in that pack size, or at all.
Package sizes, active-ingredient amounts, serving counts and doses are parsed automatically from text that manufacturers wrote for marketing rather than for machines. Where a listing does not state a value, the Service substitutes a typical value for the category; such figures are marked with a tilde (~) and can be hidden entirely. Parsing can misread, listings can be wrong at the source, and a computed unit price is only ever as good as the label behind it.
To the extent permitted by law, we therefore give no warranty that any price, dose, ingredient amount, serving count, ranking, availability indication, rating, currency conversion or derived metric is accurate, complete, current or fit for any particular purpose, and no warranty that any category, listing, country or feature will remain available. Verify anything that matters on the product page itself before you buy. Section 15 governs liability; nothing in this section limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.
4. Not medical or nutritional advice
SupplementPrices compares prices. It does not recommend supplements, doses, or regimens, and nothing on it constitutes medical, nutritional, pharmaceutical or other professional advice, diagnosis or treatment. The doses shown are what manufacturers print on labels, not a suggestion to take them. Supplements can interact with medication and with each other, and legal limits on doses and ingredients differ by country. Talk to a doctor or pharmacist about what — and whether — to supplement, and never disregard or delay professional advice because of something you read here. If you suspect a medical emergency, contact emergency services immediately.
5. We are not the seller
We do not sell, ship, import, distribute or stock any product shown on this site, and we are neither the manufacturer nor the food-business operator behind any listing. Every purchase is a contract between you and Amazon or the respective third-party seller, on their terms. Payment, delivery, cancellation, returns, warranty, product safety, labelling compliance and any claim arising from a product are matters for that seller and manufacturer — not for us. Product images, titles, descriptions and nutrition information originate from them and are reproduced as supplied.
6. Advertising and affiliate links
Outbound product links carry an Amazon Associates tag and are marked as advertising. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases, at no additional cost to you. That is how the Service is financed. Rankings are computed from the data alone; placement is not for sale, and no manufacturer, brand or seller pays for position, inclusion or exclusion.
7. Permitted use
You may use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, and you may link to it freely. Search engines and AI assistants are welcome to crawl, index, summarise and quote individual figures with attribution and a link to the page they came from — that is the point of publishing a number nobody else computes, and our robots.txt says so.
You may not, without our prior written consent:
- systematically extract, copy, scrape, harvest or re-utilise substantial parts of the catalogue, the computed metrics or the underlying database, whether in one operation or by repeated extraction of insubstantial parts;
- republish, redistribute, resell, sublicense or build a competing price-comparison product from the data;
- access the Service by automated means beyond ordinary crawling, or in a way that circumvents rate limits, caching, access controls or the directives in
robots.txt; - frame, mirror or present the Service as your own, or remove, obscure or alter attribution, affiliate tags or advertising markings;
- reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble any part of the Service, except to the extent such restrictions are prohibited by law;
- use the Service unlawfully, to infringe the rights of others, or in a way that impairs its availability for anyone else.
8. Our rights in the site and the data
The Service, its category model, its normalisation methodology, the metrics it computes and the compiled collection of listings behind them are protected by copyright and by the sui generis database right under Sections 87a et seq. UrhG (Directive 96/9/EC). We are the maker of that database. Except for the permitted uses in Section 7, all rights are reserved. Nothing on this site grants a licence to any trademark.
9. Third-party content and trademarks
Amazon, the Amazon logo and related marks are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates. Brand and product names are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used for identification only. Their appearance here does not imply any affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement from those owners.
10. External links
The Service links to external sites, principally Amazon marketplaces. We have no influence over their content, terms or privacy practices, do not adopt them as our own, and accept no liability for them. Once you follow an outbound link, that site’s terms and privacy policy apply.
11. Availability and changes to the Service
The Service is provided free of charge on a reasonable-effort basis. We give no uptime guarantee and are not responsible for outages caused by Amazon, our hosting, our upstream data providers, your network, or other services outside our control. We may at any time add, modify, suspend, restrict or discontinue individual categories, countries, metrics, features or the Service as a whole, including for technical, legal, commercial or data-licensing reasons — for example if a data source changes its terms. You have no claim to the provision, restoration or continuation of any particular feature, figure, category or country.
12. Beta and experimental figures
Some figures are explicitly marked as estimates, derived values, or experimental. They are provided as-is, may change or disappear, and should be treated as an indication rather than a result.
13. Your conduct
You are responsible for the searches you run and for what you do with what you find. Do not use the Service to build, verify or distribute claims about products that you have not checked at the source.
14. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify and hold us harmless from third-party claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these terms — in particular a breach of Section 7 — your unlawful use of the Service, or your infringement of third-party rights through use of the Service or its data. For consumers (Verbraucher within the meaning of Section 13 BGB) this applies only to the extent permitted by mandatory consumer-protection law and only where the claim is attributable to your fault.
15. Liability
We are liable without limitation for damages caused by intent or gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz), and under guarantees we have expressly given. For slight negligence we are liable only for the breach of essential contractual obligations (cardinal duties), and that liability is limited to foreseeable damages typical for a service of this kind. All further liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
Because the Service is provided free of charge, our liability is in any case governed by Sections 521 and 599 BGB where those provisions apply. Subject to the preceding paragraph and to the extent not already excluded, our aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or in connection with the Service or these terms is capped, per affected user and per twelve-month period, at one hundred euros (EUR 100).
In particular, and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for a purchase decision made on the basis of a price, dose or ranking shown here, for a price that changed between synchronisation and checkout, for a listing that was misparsed, unavailable or withdrawn, for indirect or consequential damages, or for lost profits or savings. Section 4 applies to health-related decisions. This allocation of liability also applies in favour of our legal representatives and any persons acting on our behalf.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes in the Service or in the law. The current version is always available at this URL, and the date at the top says when it last changed. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
17. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer habitually resident in the EU, you retain the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence. Where a place of jurisdiction may lawfully be agreed, it is Göttingen, Germany.
We are not willing or obliged to participate in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. The former European Commission online dispute resolution platform was discontinued on July 20, 2025.
18. Severability
If any provision of these terms is or becomes invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in force. The invalid provision is replaced by the statutory rule that comes closest to its commercial purpose.
